I'm selling my mostly stock 1986 Guards Red on Black 951. The car has 132,243 miles on it. I've only had the car for about a year, but life happens and circumstances have changed. I'd rather the car be with someone who has more time to enjoy it

The car is almost completely stock performance wise. The previous owner added an LBE and a billet re-circ, but otherwise it's stock. I have a binder of maintenance records going back to the early 1990s.
Factory Options:
- C02 - Catalytic Converter
- 341 - Central Locking System
- 425 - Rear Window Wiper
- 431 - Leather Steering Wheel
- 454 - Automatic Speed Control
- 533 - Alarm System
- 650 - Sunroof
- 946 - Leather/Leatherette seats
Last Water pump/Timing belt job done at 121,168 miles (June 2014)
Things done recently (last 2 years):
- Water pump/timing belt replaced (June 2014)
- Replaced clutch master cylinder (July 2014)
- Replaced Brake booster (September 2015)
- R-134A A/C Conversion and recharge (September 2015) - A/C is super cold!
Mechanical
Things that need some work:- replaced spark plugs, rotor, and spark plug wires
- replaced DME temperature sensor
- new brake pads and rotors all around
- replaced wheel bearings front and back
- replaced rear axles (C/V joints were worn, replaced both axles)
- replaced coolant overflow/radiator cap
- installed Solid-State DME Relay (https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-...rs-wanted.html) - This thing is great!
- New Pioneer Digital Media Receiver audio deck
- New Alpine SPS-406 4x6" front speakers
- Autometer boost gauge in A-pillar gauge pod (I have the original A-pillar trim as well)
- replaced blend door clip on climate control
- Installed 968 Aero mirror kit (Porsche factory conversion kit)
- There is a slight cold idle problem on first start in the morning. The car will start, but then usually stumble a bit and then die. If I blip the throttle a few times it will stay running and then idles normal once it warms up a little bit. I believe this is either a vaccum leak or the IAC is malfunctioning. Should be easy to fix, I just haven't had the time to look at it.
- The motor mounts should probably be changed soon. Not an emergency, but they're a little bit weak.
Otherwise I think it's a pretty good example of a well cared for driver's car. The paint looks great and it runs well. The previous owner (of 10+ years) kept it in a garage at all times and I've done the same.
Also, I had some upgrades planned for this summer so the following are included with the price of the car if the buyer wants them:
- Lindsey Racing vacuum hose replacement kit (http://www.lindseyracing.com/LR/Pors...A-944-VAC.html)
- Lindsey Racing venturi delete kit (http://www.lindseyracing.com/LR/Porsche/LA-951-VDK.html)
- Lindsey Racing fuel line upgrade kit (http://www.lindseyracing.com/LR/Pors...-944-SFLK.html)
- 4x Fuel Injector re-seal kit (http://www.paragon-products.com/Pors...110.901.00.htm)
- 4x Intake Manifold gaskets (for when you do the fuel injector re-seal and/or venturi delete
)

When I was in college ~15 years ago I drove a stock, non-turbo 944. The Independent Porsche mechanic I took mine to for service had a juiced up 944 turbo as their loaner car....I kid you not. I actually looked forward to servicing it there so I could drive the thing. It was a barrel of fun to drive - obviously knocking the doors off of my stock 944. Fun factor is off charts with this model and this particular example seems like a steal at this price and condition. GLWS.

Lesson in opportunity costs: if I didn't have my play money tied up in project 944s, I would be ALL OVER this. It looks to be in great shape, is the best color combo, and is priced well.
Good luck to you, sir.
