I'm sending these guys!
I've been in the market for a few months now, and your car is a bit out of my range for a modded and tracked TT (albeit well maintained!)
Nice of you to link the the FS ad to the previous owner...great to know the history and background
GLWS, the right (non-flake) buyer will come along!

Yea, I wish they would be able to flip my 996T for some good coin.
Dell did some track time, but the X73 and GT3 big brake kit really improved the driveablility for daily use and are a heck of alot better than the stock set-ups.
Dell owned this 6Turbo for about a year and a half; I think he only drove it on nice days and babied the car in everyway possible.
I'm real happy to have purchased it; everything about it is a huge plus over a
6Turbo with no history.

ok, lets get down to business then - i'm a serious turbo buyer with cash:
- miles are higher than i'd like
- i don't like any of the wheels offered
- not crazy about the accident, track abuse on rear fenders or the respray of top
- not happy it's been tracked
$32K is the most i'd pay for it considering damage history - if you have the original wheels i'd pay $33K - you keep the current wheels on car and all the other bits that you can resell.
$!000 deposit sent immediately
PPI at agreed shop as well as my visual inspection/test drive
i'm waiting.....

After following the 996TT market for years and very closely in the past 6 months, I would say that this car is a great value considering the improvements. The fact that it's been "tracked" (ie: a few controlled laps around a track during a drivers education event) should not affect it's value. If it passes a proper ppi and doesn't have any issues or over revs, I would much rather have this car than a car that hasn't been "tracked" but that has been abused on the street. At $38k this is one of the better deals out there. Non affiliation with the seller. GLWS.

Race Car
Cars that see track time are better maintained than babied garage queens. Example: Just last month I found a cracked exhaust bracket that was failing from metal fatigue while changing over my exhaust after a track day. I ordered new ones for both sides and replaced them both as a precaution.
996Ts are the best performance car for the money right now.

I can't believe this car has not sold. I've seen this car, seen the meticulous care Dell had taken care of it and looks like just some cosmetic stuff for the current owner.
Falcon, you are spot on in your comment.

This appears to be a great deal. I thought tt's were selling. I guess I should have waited to buy mine and not buy in January. Seems like everyone put their car for sale and nothing is moving. I think these cars don't sell as its tough to pony up $40k cash with no financing. I think the 996 has its place, the m96/97 motors had their problems but the TT is the best model to get next to the gt3, only 8k tt's were sold in the USA.
