Brief History (as per third owner)*
2004 – 2009* - Original purchaser

2009 – 2012* - Bought as a CPO with 22k miles from Braman in SFL by friend of 25+ years, business partner and fellow enthusiast with a much larger checkbook so most of the enhancements seen on the car were done by him during this period. His vision was to have a street car that was slightly more aggressive in a number of ways over a standard 997S without going as far as a track variant like the GT3. GTS, GT3 Touring and 911R were not available at the time, but fairly closely represent his end goal vision.

2012 – March 2019*
Knowing how well cared for the car was and the significant amount of money he invested convinced him to sell it to me. He's the type who has 5 or 6 sports/exotics at any one time, all garaged and looked after - few stay in the stable more than a year.

March 2019 - Current
My dream car since I was old enough to be aware of European sports cars has been the Porsche 911. This past winter the idea to buy one and do what I conceived as The Great American Road Trip came together in my mind; heading west on Route 66 over to the PCH through the west hitting Montana’s long sweeping highways returning home and selling the Porsche as I start my next adventure, an extended sailing of the Caribbean. The car is absolutely magnificent, she truly exceeded my expectations.

She’s got new tires all around as well as fresh glass (I got her with a chip) and new oil post trip.

I have a 2005 911 S with GT3 aero and RS wing, all in Atlas Grey and it gets attention everywhere and has been a fantastic car in every respect. Anyone who is moving to a very excellent 997 will love your car. This one looks amazing.

Thanks for the kind words - yours sounds beautiful.

It was cool and a tad annoying, I set the cruise at 100 mph on the long stretches and then a vehicle I'd passed would slowly overtake me invariably with a passenger and on a few occasions a driver with their phones out videoing. I guess them passing a Porsche? Then pulling back into the driving lane to invariably slow to a speed they were more comfortable with, a few times I dropped her into 5th and stepped on her, I figured that sexy backside disappearing rapidly put a nice conclusion to their video.

Couple of questions:

- I see a lot of details on the upgrades but not much detail or maintenance. Have the clutch, Flywheel, RMS seal, IMS Bearing been addressed?

- DO you have any of the stock parts ?

Right below where you read about the upgrades is a notation on what OEM parts are available as well as reference to a binder with a detailed service history.

The previous owner replaced the engine 4/16 at that time an aluminum flywheel was installed as well as an updated clutch kit.

It appears that pretty much every service receipt is in the binder and notes: Battery 12/18 , spark plugs/ignition coils 8/18, brakes/rotors 8/17 (61,800) . . . there are head gaskets, brake flushes, oil changes the water pump at 44,000 etc

As I've noted I have had the car a very short time, in that time she has been flawless - she is a well cared for, meticulously maintained Porsche.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask

Love the color and the build.

Perhaps it's just me, but I do not see the link to the binder with service receipts, do you have those uploaded somewhere? Also, can you expand on the note about engine replacement in 4/16? Did he put a brand new or used engine, with how many miles, if it was used?

Thank you, I can't take any credit but yes! guards red and those Vorsteiner bumpers with the HRE's - a head turner and discussion starter at every gas station.

You're not missing anything it's an actual binder, a physical, 3 ring binder of all the service done on the car although I do have some of the service electronically too.

I have misrepresented the date of the engine swap - it was actually 7/23/14 a used engine from Los Angeles Dismantler from a 2006 911, at that time the replacement engine had 39,165 on her and the car had 53,567.

The receipt from LA Dismantler notes the IMS bearing being replaced, the engine was shipped to Zotz in Orlando and installed by them where they put a new clutch kit in and an aluminum fly wheel. . . I also see a notation of $10 for water . . . only on a Porsche!!!!
