Curious,

Why not get one of these for door ramp ?
http://www.pitpal.com/trailer-ramps/...ping-separate/

and (not the link but similar) one of these. vs carrying jugs all around ? (I asked mooty he said convenience of jugs going to gas station ) I'm thinking i don't want to lug around 60lbs around....loading/unloading. i don't like to punish myself. I'm still building my trailer, i'll show and tell when it's ready.

I struggled to make it work, but sadly, I'll be going back to the looping thru the wheel technique.
Thanks for the business on the tie downs! Hope they serve you well throughout the season

OK, here are some quick photos showing the new 5 jug fuel rack and the revised gas bottle location. The point of all this was to clear the floor areas at the wheels, making it easier to strap down the car.

Maybe a stupid question... With the fuel jugs in the trailer (instead of the truck) how do you get gas at the track without towing the whole empty trailer to the gas station?

No stupid questions in life...

The jugs have always had a permanent home in the trailer, now in their cozy new wall mounted rack. But, they don't always stay there. I toss them into the back of the truck at the end of the day and fill them up in the morning on the way back to the track. Once at the track, they sit outside next to the car.

I could just keep them in the truck bed, but I am very organized and (some might say extremely) **** about things. They don't fit underneath my roll top bed cover when standing upright, so they only do so for the brief trip to the track when full. Obviously, fuel is expensive, so there is no reason to leave it open to theft. If I have to pack up early and I still have 3 jugs of fuel left, I just put them back into the jug rack. Nice and secure in my enclosed trailer, out of the weather and out of sight.

My truck bed is already full of paddock stuff that I have yet to find a home for in the trailer. For example, I have 8 sand bags for the E-Zup. They are very heavy and take up a lot of space (pro tip: never use actual sand - use pea-sized polished river rock as it saves wear and tear on the bags and it doesn't leak out like sand tends to do). I only recently moved the E-Zup (which is the 10 x 20' size) into the trailer for permanent storage. I also keep a large cooler in the truck bed. I do need to leave a fair amount of free space in the bed, as I use the truck to schlep the tires back and forth for mount & balance when at the track. I leave the cooler at the paddock as well as the sand bags, so effectively the truck bed is empty during the course of the weekend.

All in all, it works pretty well. But... it's always a work in progress!

Can't wait to see what the professor comes up with!

Personal preference on the Race Ramps vs: long extensions of the rear gate. I'm quite happy with what I've got.

As for the large capacity fuel tank and pump... yes that is a luxury. I've seen a few installed in toter homes and stacker trailers. I've only got a 24' trailer and it's already maxed out as far as space and weight, so it's out of reach for me. Again, if I had a 36' gooseneck (like a certain gent I know!) I'd be installing one of these. One thing to consider is the length of the hose. It may force you to have the car in a certain proximity and orientation relative to the trailer (or truck bed).

I've also seen folks add them into the bed of the truck. But for me that's a non-starter. I've got an electric roll top, so this wouldn't fit unless I removed the roll top. I also don't want to sacrifice the bed space. It's often quite handy to have a usable truck!

Kind words. I'll post when completed. I went with a 40' gooseneck after talking to mooty. He recm 36' however i figured it's always easier to chop off then add (joke). Now i feel i should have gone 44' - but that's a different story over beer in June at thill.

Alright sounds like i have to order the $1k ramp

the ramp you showed, when folded up, you can't roll big tool box or tire rack in and out. so you always have to have it folded out. you may not always have that much space behind your trailer, like sonoma raceway. also it's way heavier than race ramp. but it seems more durable than race ramp

Good point about heavier. I think it is 80 lbs installed. Pricey, too but a real nice feature.

Wanted to take a minute and post as this thread has been quite helpful as i just upgraded from a 24 to a 44 goose. I am a dealer in VA for alumline so i had them build this for me so i could also use it as a marketing tool when i am at the track. I wanted to spec it so that i could haul two cars. other than whats visible its sporting a big *** onan generator in the front that is hooked to a 20 gal gas tank under the goose.

I am slowly and carefully outfitting the inside. THANKS 24C as your outfitting skills are on point!!!!!

My plans are bin storage up in the goose with an e track net to seal it off during transport. even now with nothing, nothing really moves, but will add net for piece of mind. I just ordered arrow door tray which will go on wall as i have a camper screen door option, 48" arrow shelf to go below TV when i get there, their strap hanger and pit pal jack holders. all will be installed after this weekends trip up to the glen. I have a tire cart on order as i used the stabilizer bars in my last trailer but learned from this thread that i need to stop schlepping tires so much and use a cart/

I saw some chatter above about a fold out ramp... the best option on my trailer is the door with the bump out and ramps. i still use race ramps but this door is WAY more robust than a normal door with a 12-14" fold out hinged piece like on my old trailer.

Some pics:
