Taycan Prices Falling?
I'm in the market for the Sport turismo right now. My Buddy just got a 2021 4S new. MSRP 120k, paid 106K before tax rebate. purchased 1 month ago.
I called the dealer and talked to the sales guy, He says that they had a lot of taycans, but inventory is shrinking because Porsche is not producing many now because of the world wide Chip shortage. He says that they were expected 50 in the next few months, but only getting 10.
Take if for what's it worth. Don't know if he was blowing smoke. But he wasn't willing to budge much at all off MSRP for an ordered ST.
As far as resale, I think its going to tank. Porsche sports cars (911s) tend to hold their value well, but their SUV and sedans value tank after a few years. That and this being a first generation BEV, in a few years, the current range and battery technology is going to look like flip phones compare to smartphones.

+1 on the situation in New England. Before I eliminated the Cross Turismo as a replacement for my Sport Turismo (because reasons) I began to talk pricing locally. Initially on the CT it was "are you sure you want a CT because I can sell you a 4-door version for 5-10% off, but if you want the CT I can give you my single allocation at MSRP and you can spec it how you like."
there is no functional difference between the corded version and the “mini” versions - it’s purely size & form

these adapters do not magically allow you to use superchargers - these are only for residential, mobile, and Tesla Destination chargers (which are just residential wall chargers installed at businesses)
these adapters are for North America only - for non US Taycans I’m not offering any advice.
I have one for each of my EV’s and keep then in the vehicle so that when I’m out and about I can use Tesla chargers if I need to.
Owning one of these also allows you to use Tesla’s excellent Moble chargers which are affordable, high-quality, light and small in size, and have a world class array of NEMA plug-adapters so that you can charge your Taycan at most any NEMA 120v or 240v plug you are likely to encounter in any North American travels - it’s way ligher and more flexible than the bulky and expensive Porsche charger that comes with the vehicle.

I enquired about a Turbo S that was in a corner of the service area with a build sheet of over $200k. Custom ordered car that the buyer bailed on. At first, no deal was offered, then after about six weeks I got a call to talk discount.. They offered 6%, I asked for 12% - no deal. Car is not perfectly specced to my taste (espresso/cognac), so I'm passing.
It will be exciting to see see the EV world evolve at Porsche - - I'm so happy with my present stable that I'll wait for the second generation.

Sounds like the consensus is that you can get 5-7% discount on a car in inventory, less of a discount on an ordered car. No discount yet on a custom ordered Turbo S. I guess they figure if you're going to spend over $200K on a car, you aren't motivated by value...
Does anyone happen to know when these dealers need to stop selling MY2020 Taycans as new cars, or is it even a thing for Porsche? (I know it's a thing for BMW) Wondering how much negotiating powers I have on some 2020 left overs and/or if I should wait a little bit longer.

I was shopping for a '20 earlier this year and had a few cars 12-15% off, but ultimately backed out. Not sure if Porsche is giving extra money to move '20's at the moment, but there are still a decent amount sitting. This far into '21, you should have pretty serious negotiating power, some of these cars have been sitting on lots since last fall.
