I find myself utterly uninterested in EVs...........

However, I did get to launch control a Taycan Turbo S and holy moly, it was like a roller coaster!

But when I drive my 911, it puts a smile on my face. Never experienced that test driving the Taycan.

I get that. Much rather have a 911 and willing to wait until the 992 market equalizes to get one.

honestly, i call shenanigans on all these glowing taycan sales reports. every porsche dealership i drive by is a sea of taycans. the numbers must be sales to dealers.

Exactly! The Porsche dealers I see have enough in stock Taycans to equip a local police force. They are giving salesman etc. killers lease deals to get them to clear the market.

It depends where you live. There are Taycans all over the roads in the California and the Northeast USA and Europe. Dealers there have few to none in stock.

You know this as a fact? You have gone into a Porsche dealer and inquired? Know folks who have leased a Taycan for peanuts?

yup. seen that article as well as countless others that indicate taycans are selling like hotcakes. i'm in the dc metro area (northeast). i have seen one in the wild, and tens of them at my dealership. doesn't pass the sniff test for me.

DC is really mid-atlantic.

All I can tell you is in the Metro NYC area extending up to Boston dealers have almost none in stock and I see Taycans on the road in that area almost daily. In Los Angeles and San Francisco regions Taycans are literal everywhere on the roads. In a half drive there you will see at least five. Same for Norway and most of Europe, Taycans everywhere.

My neighbor has a Gentian Blue Taycan Turbo S. Recently, I saw three come down my street in one afternoon. By Porsche's numbers and the neighborhood anecdotal evidence, they're selling very well.

Really? Exactly where did I say that Taycans are leased for "peanuts", please, show me where.
I owe you no explanations of any kind as you are merely continuing to stalk me in an angry fashion which is quite weird. You know exactly what you are doing as you continue with your aggressive personal attacks and name calling which seem to be focused on questioning my integrity. I am however not offended by your juvenile behavior.
I do know a number of people who work for Porsche and yes they have been offered exceptionally good lease terms for in stock Taycans and that is whether you believe it or not. One gentleman who I know particularly well took them up on it and he is quite pleased with his decision at his cost.
Oh well so be it and I'm sure I'll see you again as I doubt if you are done stalking me.

Got it, you know one person who leased a Taycan at what you consider "a deal" and from there you exaggerated the rest. S.O.P.

OK, great. I "exaggerate", because you say so or just because you are angry or both? Why don't you give it a break Pal and lose the stalking behavior.

I could care less if Taycans sell better than 911s

Makes my car feel even more special.

I hope the Taycan does well, so that Porsche can make money and still make a ICE 911 for years to come (and perhaps the GT3)

You don't seem to get it. Your fatal flaw is that you think the entire world exists 10 feet in front of you. That everything you see with your eyes is how it is everywhere. Unfortunately that perspective is completely inaccurate and that inaccuracy is on full display in your posts.
