A certain Guy Martin (if you live in the UK you ought to know who the gent is) giving a Taycan Turbo a shake down and seems impressed.
If some of you are not aware of what this chap used to do, here is a clip doing his day-job (before he retired in 2017) on the 37 1/2 mile TT track on the Isle of Man. So if he says something is fast, it carries some weight...

I love when this thread gets bumped because it makes me happy that a certain poster no longer frequents this forum.

An AMuS (-> AutoMotor&Sport German Car Magazine) 5-minute trailer (for a 25 minute test on Amazon) that gives the TTS the 'thumbs up'...it is in German but even without it you may get the gist...racing driver Christian Menzel is having fun.

AMAZING to see how well the traction control worked on that grass slope. Wet grass hill on summer tires and it powered right up, that was incredible. Shame he feels it lacks a bit of engagement. Would love to see what he thinks of a GTS Sport Turismo.

I liked Henry's take. And I give his compliments more credence since when the Taycan first launched, he was not a fan.
Ironic that the last two reviews here were posted by Evo magazine alumnae. Harry really had an amazing lineup of writers for that publication. Dickie Meaden, David Vivian, Peter Tomalin, Chris Harris, Henry, Jethro Bovingdon, Russel Bulgin. Those old ECOTY test writeups were fantastic pieces of automotive journalism. I would spend hours reading and re-reading the article. When I watch Henry and Harry's reviews, I notice the level of detail of the driving they get into. I notice the subtleties they point out and how they go to great lengths to really point out the pros and cons objectively. That's why I really enjoy hearing their thoughts, rather than the "holy crap it's fast!" reviews of most other "journalists".
Great wrap up thoughts too. Thought provoking!
