PCA Garage Tour - Spyders on Display
Yesterday our local PCA region held its annual Garage Tour, a charity fundraiser, which takes on a progressive dinner format with the first of the four garages serving appetizers, the second serving salad, the third serving the main course, and the fourth providing dessert.
It’s always interesting and nice to be invited into other Club members’ homes and see where their cars are kept. I’ve come away in past years with a serious case of garage envy and yesterday was certainly no different. Can you say subterranean garage w/GT4, SLR, F40, GT3RS, F12 Berlinetta, 1600, 512 BB, 360 Stradale, CGT, and Testa Rossa?
The final garage on the tour had three Spyders on display.
These tasty desserts were the icing on the cake.

ARTIC - Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center
Snapped some pics tonight while waiting for someone to arrive by train at this $184 million regional transportation hub for Orange County called ARTIC -- Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center.
Amtrak, MetroLink, Greyhound, and (future) high-speed rail all operate out of this tubular steel-framed 67,000-square-foot building, which has a compound curved shell that is covered with a 200,000-square-foot ethylene tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) roof system.
At night, the structure can be illuminated in any color with the 1,354 energy-efficient LED lights glowing through the air-filled plastic pillows which make up the arched roof. The structure’s entrance is a 120-foot-tall glass wall, which leads into the lobby and ticketing counters.
The same firm that lights the Empire State Building and the Brooklyn Bridge and conducts many famous lighting shows also programmed the lights at ARTIC. Specific lighting designs can be programmed to help commemorate special events, holidays and alert the community when our sports teams are playing at home.
Pretty groovy for a train/bus station!

After a 2 year hiatus I decided to show the Spyder again at the PCA San Diego Concours. There was some stiff competition from a very nice White Spyder and a yellow Cayman. Scored a 174.9 out of 175 and took first and first overall in class.
Here are some pictures of the Spyders on hand, including an incredible white 918 Spyder.

My Spyder in the wild, if you consider Costa Mesa, CA to be the wild. Just had the rocker graphics installed. I like 'em a lot. It might be time for the GT4 front lip that's been sitting in my garage for two years to get some action.
Credit for the rocker graphic inspiration goes to another forum member whose name I can't recall.
