Great picture! When I got my '71 914 in December 1970 my dad got a late '71 914 six months later because he liked mine so much! Now both my boys have Porsches and my 4 year old grandson has his own "electric" GT3 he terrorizes the local sidewalks with. Yes, the car gene is inherited!!
Just finished a 1300 mile road trip. Spyder surprisingly practical!
Not a bad road trip car- my wife and did a week long rallye in CO a couple years ago. Only issue is accessing the rear trunk if the top is up- kind of a pain. Lots of space once you get it open! Didn't have to do that on my road trips 40-50 years ago in the 914!
Someone should come out with a 987.2 style retrofit kit for those 981’s. I would much rather have the “slower” install speed than not be able to open my trunk. Not sure what porsche was thinking on that.
