Spyders in the Wild...

My Spyder in the wild, if you consider Costa Mesa, CA to be the wild. Just had the rocker graphics installed. I like 'em a lot. It might be time for the GT4 front lip that's been sitting in my garage for two years to get some action.
Credit for the rocker graphic inspiration goes to another forum member whose name I can't recall.

Three Wheelin'
26 degree morning but clear so took a quick 250 mile jaunt in the Spyder. Only two notable lessons: The harness holes in the back of the LWB’s funnel cold air way too welll.... was warm except two spots on my shoulders! Next time I will cover those up! 2nd sure wish you could have heated LWB’s! Such brilliant cars...

You could easily add seat heaters in the spyder. Far easier than all the others cars I’ve done that to. If you want a factory look, you need the button panel and the programming. From there you just tap the existing harness (or add seat heater harness) and buy two aftermarket heaters. The bucket seat cushions are just velcro’d in so remove, and add the adhesive heater between the foam and the mouse fur. Assuming I had the parts on hand, I could probably put the heaters in ~1hr or less. The aftermarket heaters I used are far hotter than factory, so I only switch to hot for about a minute or two, then bump down to low.

Your cold shoulder experience had me laughing, I’ve had that exact same issue with the large openings in the LWB’s. And I agree that seat heaters would be nice on really cold days. I’ll also add that gloves are a necessary once temps get below 50, the HVAC system on the 987’s can’t keep up with the inrush of air. While the HVAC isn’t as capable it does impart an old school vibe on the experience. Proper attire resolves most of the weather related issues.
