So did a 1000 mile oil change and replaced front spyder spoiler lip w gt4
Both very simple
Spoiler lip just need pair of plastic trim removal tools you can buy anywhere
Depress the tabs and it pops right out the side trim are held in place w two sided adhesive just slowly pull them off the car w the aid of one of the plastic trim removal tools
Used the 3m two sided tape on the gt4 pieces it worked great

This is the only thing that bothers me on my Spyder.
Did you notice how Porsche managed to fit a wheel that's 0.5" wider than the Boxster GTS's rear wheel, but kept the same tire width? Look how stretched the tire sits on the rim.
I really don't understand why they did this. It looks like sh**

I figure I can't be anymore sacrilegious to those who love their cars to be bone stock.. But I'm auto-dipping my wheels bronze. Autodip was introduced at SEMA this year as the automotive formulation for plastidip. Allows for a very smooth metallic paint-like finish, with the same peelability of plastidip. I saw some cars with wheels professionally done with autodip and I would have challenged anyone to tell me whether it was paint or not.
I like all my mods to be completely reversible, and this fits the bill. Also, I've noticed that despite almost obsessive wheel cleaning and care, there are tiny chips in the wheel paint and the autodip protects them perfectly.. Brand new when you remove it. I'll post pics when I'm done today.

I have had some fellow RL members pm about the lift I have thought I would share some specs for others
I purchased it from gregsmithequipment , they have all the specs. it costs $2000 it took about 4 hours to assemble and Takes two people , I also added a jack option for about $700.
This allows one end of the car to be jacked up off the ramps great for brakes or tire changes you purchase a second but didn't think it is necessary for my use
My ceiling is 11 feet , the floor to top of the roof the turbo is about 9 feet . The spyder is 50" tall and the 997.2 is 53"
The lift works great and the hydraulic pump uses 110v
