Default I'm in drank the Koolaide

This may be the craziest move I have made, i just put a deposit down on a 2012 Cayman R Black Black with carbon seats and 6 speed PSE, drove it around the block and it was more fun than the 991s... its no GT3 but Im tired of waiting on the 991 GT3, have a spot for one but it looks like a year away still.

I have always been a track guy so i hope all the Hype Ive read will come true, wish me luck!

Merry Christmas to me, all I wanted was a new Bell & Ross lol

Since you already have the 7.1 Gt3 rs I can defo understand this.

talk to me about the brakes vs the Gt3 rs please and the general attitude of the car. How do you like the lightweight control weightings vs the rs? It doesn't get tiring to use but is much less of an event.

the focus is completely different.... I love it on the street and I am tracking it as often as i can.

But there is a grey black PTS 7.2 Gt3 calling to me.....

lovely spec... too for the CR.. consider getting the dealer to add the Short shifter..

Nice!

Was it ordered with the different wheels and the silver belts/door pulls? I don't think I've ever seen silver door pulls, only red and black.

Afshin, the plat silver/Carrera red MY 2012 spyder that I test drove had silver door pulls/seat belts and gave it a nice touch. To the OP congrats once again. Try to see if you can get a used set of the lightweight spyder/Cayman R wheels

Your CR has the Carrera S II wheels
which is what I have on my 997.

http://www.suncoastparts.com/product/997G1CSWH.html

Some spyders and CR's came equipped with these Carrera S II wheels. Nice wheels but the 19 inch lightweight spyder wheels would be the wheels of my choice but it's personal taste. Silver wheels look good on black so are you sure you want to go with black or grey paint.

Yup. Cayman R looks better than the new 981 cayman. That CR looks sweet.
