Not sure if the GT3 has the same clutch as the RS, but the RS is stiffer/heavier than the Spyder - but not enough to be annoying to me.

997.2 GT3 clutch is MUCH heavier than the spyder. I drove my friends' 997.2 GT3 the other day.

Much heavier and stiffer. So is the shifter. Love 'em both.

BTW, 86 3.2... nice avatar!

So Joe, did the drive plant any seeds?

I haven't driven the GT3 but I have shifted one (in a parking lot) and I agree that the shifter is by far the nicest and most direct that I have ever tried. It is the perfect blend of notchy and smooth, I wish the Spyder had the same feel.

+1 to everything

I find the clutch in the Cayman R (same as the Spyder's) to be too light, though I love the Cayman's (sport) shifter.

It is a great avatar. It looks like it should be on Porsche's advertising.

With that, I won't just buy any Spyder available. If anyone is considering selling there Spyder, let me know. I do however have requirements:

-Full Leather
-Sport Buckets
-Manual
-Spyder wheels (Any color will do).
-Xenons
-Below 10k miles

The above is a must! Mileage is the only one I would fudge on.

If you have the above and are willing to give up your baby let me know.

Impressive eye. I actually 'borrowed' the image from a Porsche promo video for the .2RS called Extreme Truth. Couldn't paste the link but it's on YouTube if you search on extreme truth... Make sure your audio options are optimized and volume is up!

That silver car in AL looks great but doesn't have the full leather the op is looking for. Seems like a nice potential deal for someone...

it's probably the closest he is going to get, sport buckets alone are very rare. plus it's got the PSE which wasnt on his list and the price is excellent. If I didn't already buy mine I would have seriously considered this one, but white was a must have for me.

The only thing I really lusted after was the sound. My spyder is still too sedate. The GT3 sound is really awesome. Yes, GT3 has more power, but I don't think my skills on the track are quite ready for a GT3. I think I will get some version of a GT3 someday, but I'm quite content with what I currently have.

Agreed, six speed plus sport exhaust and bucket seats is a rare a nice combo, especially with low miles and what seems to be a great price.

You can always retrofit a sport shifter - once broken in, that is exactly how I describe mine.
