Left central FL about 7 years ago...miss the beach (NSB) but not the heat and humidity. Nice to finally know what a change of seasons looks like.
Do really love the 993 series. Been somewhat on the prowl for 993 or 964 (94 only) turbo. Need to add some abnormal aspiration to the quiver...

I've always wondered about the 997 GT3 and RS, how liveable on a daily basis. and how would you compare to the boxster spyder

The Boxter Spyder is softer, smoother, and all-around much more comfortable to drive on the street - have not tracked it. Simply can't say enough good things about this car.

I think the.2RS could easily be a daily driver, and many owners likely are. For me personally, the sport buckets are a bit uncomfortable if you have a long commute. The car's presence is also a bit loud for me to be showing up at the office in (that's my problem, not the car's). If I had to have only 1 car, it would likely be the RS without graphics and red wheels.

I was originally looking at a used 7.1 GT3, and attend of the day decided on the .2 based on better power, reliability rumors, and resale upside - even for the up front premium.
Good luck and keep us posted on you progress.

As to your comments on the Sport bucket seats, I find it just the reverse. I have sport buckets in both the Spyder and Cayman and by far they are the best on my bad back. In fact my wife and I drove the Cayman from San Antonio to the St Charles Parade and back and were comfortable. That included several 12 hour days. Size of the individual means a lot with those seats. Now I will say watching two senior citizens get out of them is sometimes humorous .
Very good point. Once in, they do offer great back support and are not UNcomfortable. For the limited track days I get to on an annual basis, no problem. Perhaps more use/practice and a few hits of Centrum Silver and I'll be good to go.

I also find the sport buckets to be incredibly comfortable once you're in them. More comfortable than any other seat with exception to the 928's comfort seats which were perfect but not very supportive when driving aggressively.

Congratulations on the Spyder - I can't imagine any regret.
