Mooty, again, you know your dealers. LOL. I drove a friend to Sonnen today so he could pick up his new 981S. Yes, those are my track wheels with NT01s. I never took them off after Laguna since our Thill event is coming up soon anyway. Studs would be nice...

Great looking wheels Joe. A few pics of my wife in her CR from the track today with Forgeline GA3R's in black with a polished lip.

Why does Porsche use bolts instead of studs? Swapping wheels is such a pain.

Thanks, Brian. Those GA3Rs look great too! I love the deep dish look in the rear. Peridot green looks great on the CR, IMO. The TE37s only come in deep dish if you go 19". No deep dish on the 18" wheels.

Finally took delivery of a second set of track wheels. These are the Fikse Contour 10.

Thanks. Lol. As you are aware, getting the seats was such an ordeal. Glad I finally pulled the trigger and thanks for the help.

Just got back from VIR. FYI, 4 out of 5 studs from an instructor's GT3 RS broke while out on the track.. Oh... and I heard reports of RSS LCA's breaking on the track... and I just put them on. Current recommendation seems to be to go with OEM (GT3 LCA's).

My best time at VIR (full course) was 2:21 on street tires and minimal mods. See above for comparison...

Pics: (thanks RD)

Vet, the reason there were reports of RSS LCAs breaking is because it was true. There was a recall several months ago that fixed the problem, though. I was in the recall, and RSS paid for the labor and materials to replace the defective part.

Nice pics of the car, btw! The car looks great! What top speeds do you hit at VIR? That straightaway is sooooo long!

Thanks, Joe!

Good to hear that RSS problem has been fixed. wheww. The top speed that I hit on VIR back straight is 139-140. That was the speed before I had to look up and brake, anyway! It's less in the front straight as it's not as long and has a curve in the middle. A friend's Turbo hit 152 in the back straight. I'm told that pros hit 180's.

Not me. I'm the one taking the pictures. He's a good buddy of mine who tracks with us.
