PSE in spyder and CR

If I am not mistaken, on a CR the PSE install comes with extra fuel burning in the exhaust valves on the overrun (ECU changes) for better noise as well as the hardware. Apparently no HP effect.
with the spyder, it is just noise tuning, no claim was made as to ecu tuning.
I have ordered it on both because I can't wait for the warranty to lapse (2 years in the UK- 3rd year optional) before I fit an aftermarket one.
But, on my spyder, I am thinking of going the carnewal route to liberate more noise for the PSE (via 2nd cat delete) or the Remus Ti system which is cheaper in the UK at 1700 pounds and saves 27 pounds in weight. I still think that keeping the stock system at least gives me the option of returning to quieter levels.

If I was choosing aftermarket I would pick the Remus setup. Lighter and louder! I'm surprised the prices are lower there, usually its the opposite.

You will definitely have to post the differences between the two cars once you have driven both for a while. I am really looking forward to reading what you have to write.

hmmm. hope you bought using credit card.. easy dispute then...
not a problem for me. Just 1 phone call away to Credit card company who can deal with them.

I had to complete a form and then argue about the foreign exchange fees. The point is that Design 911 received payment, decided I was a fraud (somehow) and then refused to credit back the payment or ship the goods. This was all without any communication with them for 2 weeks. After the 2 weeks, I finally got a sarcastic response where I was passed between several people, each of which took the opportunity to call me names and poke fun at the predicament. Once they made it clear that they had no intention of shipping anything nor did they plan to refund the money, I took the issue to the cc. They just wanted to pocket the $3000 and try to get away with it. After that experience, I think its safe to say these guys are the frauds. There are other more reputable businesses in the UK. PM me if you want a name of one of the better businesses.

I thought that the extra 10hp that the R has over the S was due to the exhaust. If this is correct, then there must be an R version of the PSE. I wonder if I can get one for my S and pick up 10hp?

I was under the impression that the power gains in the Spyder and R have nothing to do with the exhaust?

The Spyder has the same HP as the CaymanS (320HP)
From the press info of the Cayman R :
“Aiding in achieving the higher power peak of 7,400 rpm is the Cayman R exhaust system with a larger-diameter exhaust section between the catalysts and mufflers.”
The R has a left and right exhaust (std and PSE) with a bigger exhaust inlet tube.
This tube has a diameter of 55mm towards 48mm for any other 987-2, including Spyder.

So the R PSE exhaust varies from Spyder PSE exhaust meaning Spyder owners can gain another 7 - 10 Hp by installing the the Cayman's PSE?
Alternatively maybe the center section between the catalytic and muffler can be purchased since that is the only area that is being modified according to the literature?
