Scroll down a few threads to "Tracking Your Spyder". Post #10 has a Spyder with red wheels. I don't know if the red is GR?

Yes, TC Kline's Carrara White Spyder has red painted wheels, but they are 'Forgeline' alloys, not Spyders. It does give you an idea of what your factory Spyder wheels will look like if you paint them Guards Red. I agree with N2cars that TC Kline's red color might be slightly off from a pure factory 'Guards Red' but you get an idea of what they may look.

The only other Spyder I ever saw with red factory painted wheels was at Paul Miller Porsche in NJ over one year ago. They were not Spyder wheels, but some other factory optional rims that could be ordered on the Spyder and painted in a number of colors, including Guards Red. The Spyder was a Carrara White used '11 model with Carrera Red interior, regular seats and an odd custom 'SPYDER' logo pasted on its side. It took months to sell!

Saludos, Eduardo
Still in Colorado

PS Without a doubt, painted black wheels are the way to go on a Guards Red exterior Spyder like on the above post!

Humble opinion: from a design aesthetic, black would be better, even if you got the red to match. In addition, black is easier to clean and doesn't show the brake dust as much. I had mine painted black immediately after receiving the car, and even with the black I'm cleaning them once a week. Granted, I do drive it like I stole it.

Doesn't work for me. Prefer black or the standard silver wheel

Anybody ever consider white wheels?

I think white wheels would look good with red (ie EVO VI TME edition)
White wheels on aqua blue with the white porsche stripe would look great too, imo

I find red wheels are just too much and the detract from the car, but I don't have to drive it.

My favorite is the standard silver wheel, but a second choice would be black.

I've seen a few older 3.2 Carreras that were guards red and had white wheels, but it just never looked right.

Good luck!

Something about his look works. The all red Spyder wheels not so much.
