Spyder Day Trip
got up early to take a 350-mile day trip in the Spyder, annual Boxstoberfest in Fredericksburg, Texas. One hundred Porsches, plus a Ferrari and a couple of BMW Z8s, and some other BMWs. I did the "clue" rally, a 130-mile drive through some of the finest Texas hill country twisties. There were 4 Spyders and we managed to get 3 of us together for a photo opp. One Cayman R.

Excellent Spyder group shot! What is great about your PTS color is that it makes any Spyder photo shoot quite 'unique' since you have the only 'Speed Yellow' in the country! Enjoy. z356

Great pictures, thank you for posting. Definitely post more if you have them so those of us that couldn't make it can get a taste of the event.

Afshin,
here you go, this year was the 14th Annual Boxstoberfest
it's an informal gathering, usually completely free (although there was a small fee this year to defray costs)

Wow, that looks like a big event! Nice mix of Porsches and other interesting cars too. I wish we had something like this in New England. The cool thing about Porsches is that they are all specced differently and no two are alike so you can see different details and combo's with every car. Looks like some nice driving weather too, can't beat that!

Thanks for the pics. Hopefully we can make it over for next years event. It looks like a great gathering.
As a side note, sorry tropical storm Lee didn't make it over that way as the pics are obvious just how dry it is there.
