Well the wait is almost over. It was great fun to go from looking for a 997.2, stumbling across links here in RL on the Spyder, reading up on all the great reviews of the Spyder (here and all the auto press). It quickly went from from interest, to the somewhat long hunt for allocation, the custom order process, to a planned delivery this Saturday. The dealer sent a dozen photos, but here's the first of several I'll post once I take delivery.

Thanks for all the contributions here. There were lots of questions answered before my decision to order and this forums has been a great tool to help me take the leap on this car, sight unseen and without a test drive.
