Marine Blue

So I know there are about a dozen Spyder owners in the North East Area and I thought it would be really cool to get all the cars together. This would give everyone an opportunity to see the various configurations, colors etc and compare notes. No problems with including other Porsches in this GTG as well, chime in if you're interested and I will keep everyone updated.

I was thinking we could meet in mid to late September on a Saturday or Sunday when most everyone is back from vacations etc.

If interested please post here and let me know, I will start a list. Please include your general location so I can try to pick a location that is central to the majority of us. I know at least two owners that don't post on this forum and I will send them emails seperately.

If you have suggestions for locations please also feel free to include them.

Clinton I think it would be a great idea to combine it with a show or cars and coffee!

I'm a PCA member and I know that the New England region hosts an annual Concours in the Boston area in early September but it's pretty far from NY/NJ. I will check the Connecticut Valley PCA region to see if there are any shows coming up in that area.

If anyone has other suggestions for a show/event that we can hold the event at please chime in.

There is a "Cars and Coffee" at Larz Anderson this Saturday(8/6). I don't know my schedule in September yet (I work weekends) but I actually am free this weekend during the day and may drive there for this event.

So I did some more research to see what is going in September and here is an initial list

- Lime Rock Park Historic Races - Labor Day Weekend. They have infield car corrals on Saturday and Monday for Porsche and I'm sure we can arrange to have all the Spyder's together. The ticket cost is $45 and includes parade laps.

- Porsche Fest - Larz Andersen Museum (Boston) on September 10. I've gone to this show over the past four years and it is a great venue and great showing of Porsches.

If anyone has other suggestions please chime in. Anthony I'm going to look into Newport as suggested.

Guys, i am a Spyder owner and live outside of Philly. I would love to get together and check out all of your cars/meet you all. What about Baltimore Gran Prix on Labor Day weekend? Indy Races through the streets of Baltimore - main sponsor is Porsche and they are providing parking and a food/drink tent on the front straightaway - that would be a cool event?!

Regardless of that - i am in for a gathering sometime soon

I had a last minute overseas business trip pop up which will consume part my labor day weekend unfortunately . That means I won't be able to make it unless we plan something on Monday September 5th (Labor Day).

I'm going to spend some time this weekend looking for other venues and locations and I'll post back again.
