New Spyder
My wife wanted a convertible. She never uses AC or a radio. Hmmmmm...what can we get? What can we possibly get?
I had an idea: Spyder! I convinced her that the "yellow brakes" looked better, the exhaust option "sounded cool" and the sport shifter would make it easier for her to shift. The only option that I could not check off was the sport seats. I almost had her talked into sewing a pillow to help her sit higher.
Final spec: PCCB, LI battery, sport shifter, sport exhaust, zenons, painted roll bar and nipples, thicker wheel, and every alcatara option in the book.

Congrats! A color rarely seen and very nicely optioned. Although, honestly I'd need A/C at least for some days during the summer.
Congrats again and I hope to see more pix soon.
Best regards,
Dino

I agree with you on the principle of 'light weight'. We all worship on that altar. But the reality is that more than 95% of Spyders and gt3 RS have probably been built with AC for this market due to realistic market forces. Too bad you couldn't convince her to order the sport buckets. The sport leather seats eat up all of the weight savings of your AC delete! Saludos, z356

Z356, you need to read my initial post. It's my wife's car. Even if her any of her cars have AC she never runs it anyway! How I option my own car is not relevant in my comment!
As for the choice of AC....on the GT3 the AC a delete option. On the Spyder is an option to ADD it. So conceptually the inclusion of the AC is different between the 2 models in my opinion.

I did read your initial post. I stand by my comments. Regardless, tell your wife that I wish her well with the Spyder. It looks terrific in the Aqua Blue Metallic with the PCCB's! Saludos, z356
