I went for an inexpensive ebay purchase (Mayflower brand) and both machines have worked well over the past few years. I'm guessing they paid for themselves over the first race season. Not to mention that my family tends to be very good at picking up nails in their daily drivers. Nothing better than being able to pull the tire and put a proper patch in place. Getting rid of used tires is a breeze, here in AL you can drop them off at Wally world for $1.5/tire recycling fee. Last but not least, your friends will be forever grateful.

Yes, for now.

As a follow up to NJ's ballot question last month (which approved legal weed by a 2:1 margin), yesterday the NJ legislature passed the bill to legalize. Governor said he will sign.

We won't have to wait too long before having dispensaries just as good as Colorado.

Looks like Mid-O will have no SPBs this year, everyone will be at NJMP

That's good to hear. I have looked at those for a couple of years but was not sure about the quality. Would love to have a Hunter setup but $$$ especially for the amount I would use it. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I have a 4 post with bridge jacks as well as a scissor lift. I would also like to have an alignment machine in my garage too. One thing at a time LOL.

I have been turning wrenches since I was a teenager. Have restored a couple of classic cars including one full rotisserie but I am done with old cars, they suck. Have built a couple of engines and transmissions, but not Porsche...the $$ special tools have kept me away. Now I just do my own maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. Anything I don't want to do or don't have the tools for gets outsourced.

Thanks I will. This whole thing has happened much faster than I had planned. Original plan was to pickup a car by mid season 2021 and then get my racing license and everything squared away so I could start racing in 2022. But found an awesome car super quickly and so now everything is thrown into high gear (no pun intended). Appreciate your response!

Picked up the car today. Came with tons of extras including 5 sets of wheels and 4 sets of sticker tires.

I have to disagree. In many regions, NASA and PCA races can have 20-30 SPB running. They are 3-6 sec faster/lap than Miatas and very durable. While they may cost a little more, they are definitely more fun.

talk to Chris Cervelli in Denver too, he has built lots of SPB and races them in endurance racing.

they dont cost more to build, maybe the opposite. the folks i know at the front of the field all have built motors, built calipers, transmissions. all the suspension is the same, donor is maybe the same. wheels and tires the same. same money or more is my opinion.
