It's the end of an era, my friends! MY GTS has gone live on BaT. I've had so many amazing memories and have made incredible life-long friendships because of this car. Sad to see it go but I am gearing up for some new adventures and focusing on other priorities. I will always be a Porschephile for life, however, and will visit occasionally to check up on things. Thanks for all the fun times, camaraderie, and stories! Jim
I'm such a sucker for a 6MT RWD GTS coupe and would consider paying a ~$30k premium over a C2S for one, but not +$50/60k. You can get a 997.2 or 991.1 GT3 for the kind of money that dealer is asking. How much is, essentially, an Alcantara interior, X51 power pack, aero kit, and wide body worth to you?
Perhaps if it was in a super-rare PTS color like that one that just sold on BAT, but not white.
@$80-90k, the GTS is very appealing. @$115k, not so much. To me, anyway.

I'm with you on that. I'm really looking for a 6MT but since my cab already has one the PDK is starting to appeal to me after reading how much other Rennlisters like it.

Lol, we all need one of each. When looking for my cab, PDK was a requirement for many reasons (1st non 3 pedal car in decades). I love it. But soon started looking for manual S coupe to mate with my cab. Found “the one” mid last year but felt they wanted too much money so kept looking. Should have bought it dammit. Ended up getting panny s for road trips to get lake house going, it’s incredible car. Thought welllll, can still get manual coupe but that’ll push wife’s car out of garage until build lake house and can handle 4 cars plus bikes, lawn stuff, etc. Luckily price increases that make no sense have kept wife’s car in garage and saved sex life. But get PDK, regardless of the purist giving you grief you’ll love it.
$114,900? Would be interesting to find out what it actually sells for. That's not far from the sticker price of mine with the near $5,000 PDK option. I know this forum is heavily manually oriented but as has been repeated over again I don't believe it's a good representation of the market as a whole. If it was, Porsche would have built the majority of 997's, 991's and 992's with manuals instead of PDK's. Instead it's been the exact opposite for 12 years now.
If I knew someone about to put his/her manual 997 up for sale I would suggest to that seller to list it for sale on the Rennlist marketplace and consider forgetting about the rest.

LOL
The truth is that there are also PDKs that are advertised at the same price (97k euros) and I came across while selling ..
MT or PDK the prices of both will only go up and that is because of the rarity and specialness of the GTS

Apply this logic to any desirable enthusiast car over the last 20 years - Ferrari 360/430, Lamborghini Gallardo, BMW M3, Audi R8, Aston Martins, etc. Which ones currently sell for more money: the manuals nobody ordered or the automatics most buyers went with?

If my online conversion tools work as they should that red 2011 GTS has what would translate to 9,027 US miles and would be priced at $119,116. Not far from what that PTS blue GTS sold for if memory serves. Not a perfect sampling since the red one is PDK and in Europe (higher prices) and the blue one a manual and in the US. Still gives a clue of the premium GTS's seem to fetch.
