Interesting about the diffuser making contact. I had the R diffuser installed on my RS. The rear of my RS has also been lowered quite a bit and I have not had any problems with the fins scraping.

Not exactly an apples to apples comparison as the RS sits higher than the GT3.
R to GT3 is a better comparison and if you talk with several R owners who actually drive their cars, youll hear issues with diffuser scraping from some of them.
Remove the diffuser when street driving? Why even drive the car at all.. lol
These are plastic and meant to be replaced after they are worn.. and if your concerns are street driving, simply ensure that you're taking the proper angles when going over transitions, etc.. Just like cars with no lift, angles normally work, except for extreme circumstances....
I got mine about 2 weeks back. Can't compare it to the .1 since I never owned that. What I did notice is that when you put the lifter up, the rear goes down a tad bit which makes it even worse for the rear to clear. I saw this for myself, by asking my friend to put the lifter up, while I put my head down to see the rear diffuser's height difference change.
I have already managed to damage the two centre fins of the diffuser a bit. Any idea if they're metal or plastic? Felt plastic when I knocked on it.
I do not have the FA Lift, yet I too have scraped the rear diffuser on some occasions. I can imagine that getting worse with the lift !
Anybody passed break in and rev theirs out yet? Curious when that last extraordinarily angry metallic sound that you can start to hear at about 8500 on the 991.1 kicks in on the 991.2.
You can read my first impressions in my delivery thread but I thought I would just re-iterate one very loud aspect of the car from my two days tracking the car at Paul Ricard last weekend.
And that is...it is soooo much louder than the .1 at high speed on the track. Indeed so load that you cannot hear your co-pilot properly. I used to be able to chat with my co-pilot easily in the .1 but now you have to shout. So much so that I am going to go and research an intercom system.

I typically put on the aftermarket bypass exhaust on my GT3s, RS- do you think its even needed now? Or is the sound more due to removal of insulation/sound deadening material? Thanks
Took delivery of GT3 yesterday and went for a 100 mile drive. It is definitely evolutionary improvement over .1 GT3. Better suspension, more powerful engine. However, it is so clinical, that it left no impression on me. All I️ wanted to do is go back and drive my 911R.
