Cup electric PS pump conversion

It's a good way to reduce parasitic power loss on your engine belt... how are you powering this pump though? In the cup this pump drew so much current that I think it has its own fuse...

Perfect timing... I'm doing this mod as well. I've got the pump as well as the Rebel fittings for the PS rack.
I've been trying to come up with a good mounting solution myself. Interested in seeing how yours goes

OP,
Nice job on the modeling of the bracket.
Just for reference, I got a set of the Rebel brand aluminum fittings on ebay, the measurements are spot on. Pretty legit for under 100 bucks!
Low pressure fitting.
High pressure fitting.
The only functional difference is on the high pressure fitting the OEM/Cup version has a built in screen. The screen won't change the performance. Should the pump fails and break into pieces the screen will protect the rack to some degree but its pretty unlikely that'll happen so I don't having the screen is critical. One could install an inline filter if so desires, but again I don't think its necessary. If I had to do my car again I wouldn't hesitate to use these fittings. I would get new OEM sealing rings though.
I am sure the HRG brand measures equally well given their reputation.

It's pretty cool we can use these fittings and bypass the Cup lines entirely!
Tom- do you have any thoughts on the Cup idler pulley with a bracket vs just replacing the belt with something smaller?

I don't have the cap with overflow. Necessary? Or is it gonna **** all over my floor?

so I'm seeing lots of round bases that hold the PS unit. is this really necessary? the 3 posts that hold the PS pump should be enough, no?
