I looked at this car when it was last for sale, probably right before this seller bought it. Absolutely love the color combination but past on the car bc I suspected some history that either the previous seller didn't know about or wasn't sharing. There were runs in the paint at the very bottoms of the rocker panels and the strut bar was bowed up in the middle. As with any 928 (or any used car) purchase, I'd thoroughly check this one out....

[edit] Just read thru the novel in the auction and he does mention an accident (wonder if he has pics?). Jogged my memory in that the wing had obviously been painted before as well. He does appear to be a very honest seller and is very forthcoming in his representation of the car.

Thanks for remaining us of this car's past. IIRC, Craigslist ad was $90-95k asking. Now BIN @ $83k. I thought he was pretty honest too from the ad. If the car can be had for $70k with clear title, I think it may be valuable asset if mechanically checks out.
