Did the LPMM muffler hack with the bypass tubes. The car is now a little louder at idle and is much louder under acceleration. There is a sweet spot higher in the rev bend that always puts a smile on my face. I'm happy with the results.

Unfortunately this is a common occurrence. Tow truck drivers use these front jack points to hook a cable to pull the car up onto a flatbed. They are not made for lateral force.

installed a replacement fresh air servo (old owner had taken the dead one out so there was no servo in the car) and fixed/adjusted the defrost servo so it would close completely (only getting partial air through front vents so some always going through defrost vents)

in this heat, every little bit helps the AC

Got my black four spoke steering wheel from a RL member who responded to my wanted ad (no responses to my midnight blue wanted ad). Unplugged the battery on the 993. Gave the wheel some leatherique treatment and removed the bent inside aluminium thing (how you bend that I have no idea). Realized I own four t30 torx tools/bits, none of which will fit through the steering wheel holes (I have two t25 which will fit ....) to take the old airbag out to get the steering wheel off.

Went on Amazon to order the kit with all the torx in one tool as shown in the pelican article. Realized it is only available as an add on item. spend another $17 to get to $25.

Oh well, it gives me more time to treat the leather ....

So far, over the last two weeks, I've replaced the clutch master cylinder, disassembled and cleaned the headlights, restored the fog lights, installed a new head unit, started on the speaker and amp replacement, repaired the torn leather on the seat bolster, had my PDR guy take out a couple dings, had the windows tinted, ordered floor mats, replaced the driver's door check strap, installed the steering rack brace, ordered brake rotors and a caliper paint kit, scheduled my Stage 3 muffler upgrade with Darin...

Still to do - replace the shocks and springs, replace the control arm bushings, finish the stereo installation, clean fender wells, repaint calipers & replace pads & rotors, paint correction, which looks like 12-15 hours of work staring me in the face, detail the inside, install Tore's LED 3rd brake light kit, etc...

Looks like I'll be able to make plenty more posts on this thread!

Installed new tires (Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 N3's). Oh, man, what a difference from the (very old) Yokohama mismatched rubber that was on there. I'm no longer scared of this car.
Also had my local independent change all fluids and filters (including fuel) to establish a known good service baseline.

And we are done with the black four spoke wheel (the donor wheel's inner aluminium frame thing was messed up so I had to transfer the old one) and my function first long shifter in black with silver (to go with C4) shift pattern. The wheel makes it look vaguely Leather to Sample (they came with black wheels and certain trim) and I think I may keep it as opposed to recovering the blue one. Handbrake still needs help. Anything like the function first in black aluminium to cut the end off and replace the worn part? That and radio and speakers up next and interior is done.

Ahhh, now I can breathe. Installed new engine air filter, and new cabin filters. I dabbed one of the cabin filters with a little essential oil to make it smell nicer in the cabin (it's got a little of that "old car" smell, and not the good well-weathered-leather-hot-metal-and-oil type).
I'm excited about doing all the wrenching I can on this car with my limited tools/skillset. Granted, air filters aren't too hard, but it saves me a few bucks. Next up, taking the door panels off and tracking down what I think is a bad actuator preventing locking/unlocking.

Took a picture of my recently bought E30 M3 EVO2 with my 993, the 993 looks much smaller in size when parked side by side but I also love the aggressive looks of the E30 M3
