My MSRP was 113. No Burmester or buckets. Has PCCB, Classic Spyder interior, 18 ways, lots of extra leather bits. There are a few of us out there on the database.
Very cool! Do you have a build sheet or build thread!? Sounds really awesome.
Congrats ......looks like you're getting the new home ready. I just wash it man, and keep it clean too much thought into all that other stuff. Regular car soap and water never had a problem. Can't wait to see pics.
Water is too hard here in Phoenix where I live to do that unfortunately. Gotta use something that strips all the crap out of the water before it hits the car. Otherwise you end up with water spots very very quickly.
I did the full front end in xpel (bumpers, fenders, hood, mirrors) and the side skirts and rear wheel well areas. Had paint correction done, and will do opticoat pro once the car arrives. Dealer offered cilajet, but I've never heard of it, so I passed.
I have literally washed my Spyder 4 times in nearly 7 years of ownership. I have only needed to lightly polish once to remove swirls. Car is concours and as good as it left the factory. There are alternatives to washing is what I'm getting at.

Yeah, I would say part of that goodness is living in Socal(: I moved from there to ATL and NYC that will not work. I wash once a month, not sure how you get away with 4 times in 7 years do tell.

While I agree that SoCal allows for minimal cleaning I actually bought the car when living in MA, had it there for a few years, moved to KC and had it there for a few years before coming to SoCal. The only times I washed were after getting caught in rain. But I have learned how to dry clean and I no longer wash after getting caught in the rain.
Using copious amounts of a high quality detail spray and high quality microfibers are the key to cleaning without water. I use Cobra 530 towels and Pinnacle Crystal Mist on the paint and it's worked perfectly. The new Griots PFM towels are also excellent. I can get into more detail if anyone is really interested.

Thx for the tip! Darn good tip found on Amazon one gallon plus a 16oz bottle 69.00 dollars with some sort of discount offered. My other stuff was low, and this is worth a try!

I also buy Crystal Mist by the gallon, significantly cheaper! Autogeek has 25% off with free shipping on occasion, that's when I restock. Get plenty of the microfibers, you'll need a two or three for the first wipe after a rain. You'll only need one if you're just wiping down after normal driving (without rain).
I love this forum. It's so great to see the passion of the enthusiasts that post. I mean, the level of knowledge you all possess is amazing.
I feel like a poser. I loved the Porsche as a kid and it remained a a dream until last year (when I got my 981). In 15 months I have only driven 3700 miles. So clearly, I am violating the notion that these cars should be driven. That said, I thoroughly enjoy the car each time I drive it. I appreciate the feel, the power and the sound. But I can honestly say that I don't know much about the details that you folks do.
Last, it's fun driving a car that very few people have. I expected more in So Cal but I guess I am one of the lucky ones!
