I just scheduled mine. I told the SA that I would pull the splitter and belly pan off in advance so that it would be done fast and I could wait for it. Blew her mind.
Have you pulled the splitter and belly pan before? If not, allow for some extra time.

I installed the splitter originally. I bought the non-r splitter since the car sees street duty and at the time, the R splitter was priced around $7k (cough). The price on it is now below $1000 - so I'll probably put it on after the oil lines are replaced.
I'm also thinking about wrapping the car so I can explore that while the splitter is off as well. I had done the hood - was my first time doing vinyl and it was NEAR perfect - but I wanted perfect so I peeled it.

Ok,
Then you know how it works. I removed all of the plastic underbody once and it was very time consuming. Think because of how the splitter is designed.
It's kind of backwards.
I have a GT350R - Grabber blue. very nice. have raced cup cars, and World Challenge Caymans and a WC Camaro for years. This GT350R is an absolute hoot, just a monster. aesthetically, one of the sweetest cars ive ever had the pleasure of owning, and performance wise its fricking fun. its not as fast as the RS, its not as precise, but everything is raw, you feel it more, it busts the rear end loose all the time which is kind of fun when you're goofing about. i find the steering a bit loose, not sloppy but the RS you just think it, and it goes there. the 350R is more involved. the 6 speed is great but i have to i think raise the gas pedal as its hard to rev match since you never have enough speed on the street to brake hard enough to reach the gas. racing the Camaro was fun, you could throw it over curb and be less delicate than with the caymans. this is kind of like that.
mine was like 8 over sticker which i hated paying.
for that 77ish kind of money vs 200ish for the RS, its an incredible car.
like 4000 road bikes..they are great. few could tell the difference in an 8000 bike. the gains are not as large. really fun car. if your budget is in that 65 to 80 range the 350 and 350R are way way a different dimension than just about any sports car out there. the RS is then another 2 notches up from that.
For the same money of the new GTS you could pair a nice 997 with that GT350!
You never know what the day may bring when you wake up in the morning. I just got a call that I may be able to get a GT350R. So depending on what they want to do, the GT350 I have now may be for sale....
So today I went to the Ford dealer to pick up my GT350, car was parked right up front at their service desk / garage area where they usually only keep the Ford GT etc. A bunch of people in line waiting for their Explorers and Fusions all not looking too thrilled. I hop in the GT350 and start it up with the exhaust backed up to the concrete wall SNAP! BARK! You all know that sound. I about started laughing, all the customers poking their head out. Gave it a couple more blips, Flat plane roaring like a cup car. Put a huge smile on my face. I love this car.

That's all good.
Picked up my daughter from horse back riding Wednesday. When firing up the car a horse ran straight thru the fence. Owner was less than impressed.

You're right - it's a little bit of a pain but I've been turning wrenches as a hobby for years - I'll just curse my way through it, like everything else done under a car
