They look better in person to me but overall, the 991 has never impressed my eye (except the GT3, RS and Turbo). The 991.2 has more presence with the updated lighting and whatnot.
This. They all photograph like crap, do look better in person. They have to have all the right specs otherwise it's a flop - ie. GT3 etc. or a cool aerokit/color etc.

Yep. The GTS and GT models all look good to my eyes.

Anyone looking for a manual 997.1S at around $45k (which seems to be in the ballpark) should consider this one. 2006 997.1 S, only 23,290 miles, aero kit, sport chrono plus, black full leather, sport seats, sport exhaust.
Where are the higher mileage less expensive variants? Looking for car to do a few track days, club events, and daily on decent days. Then in the winter move up to different year / model / trim
Higher miles and mods ok :-) you guys seeing anything? I've scoured auto trader and cars.com and haven't found the right one yet?

From what i see, even the higher mileage S and 4S 997.1's are still mid/high thirties to low forties. And you can fine a really nice low mile 997.1 S or 4S for between 40 and 45k. So for me there's not enough of a discount in the market to go high mileage.
I've also seen a couple of really low mileage 997.2 base models recently for $45k, which complicates things further

I figured it would sell
It was a CPO Porsche at a great price
Champion is the bomb.. Bought my last Porsche from them. Will likely buy my next, they don't mess around with pricing. They list and sell them like a volume dealership. (why they are the largest in the USA)

Noted, will definitely consider them when that time comes again.
