My initial thoughts are the following. Interior is gorgeous with Full Sakhir. Engine is really much much more special than M2 (I have over 30 laps in an M2 at Homestead Miami Speedway). M3 really does seem better in all ways. M3 stock I found had major traction issues and oversteer from prior track tests at M event. So, immediately took car to have 295 MPSS rears put on and 265 MPSS front put on which on M3 post many have done for major increase in traction/handling. Where as before you had wheelspin in 1-3 now it only chirps 1-2. Then took car home for M Carbon rear wing and will do M per front lip next week. Handing and power are very very good as is. Exhaust actually is nice in comparison to reviews. Power seems well above my 997 GT3 and I'm betting with equal tires the M3 would beat it on track. Lastly JB4, and code for GTS diff, steering, and and most importantly DCT.
Anyone complaining of turbo lag in the M2 needs to drive the MK7 Golf R. That is turbo lag.
The M2 is actually quite good with a reasonably linear feel. Is it as linear as NA nope. But this is the best of breed for a sporty 2 door turbo. I'll stand by that.
I have a manual transmission MK7 Golf R and disagree. I guess it's how you drive it and what gear you're in.
Had an M2 stop by the other day for the addition of our Sport Cat Downpipe and to try out the Dinan Piggyback Tuner. We did numerous dyno runs and overlayed stock, stock exhaust with Dinan Tuner, Sport Cat Downpipe, and the Sport Cat Downpipe with the Dinan Tuner. The Dinan Tuner made some nice torque improvements, but would be begin to break up over 6k after a few pulls, deeming it unreliable in our opinion. The Dinan tuner was taken back off and he left with our Sport Cat Downpipe happy as can be. In the client's words below...

stock: 325/366 (a low reading but their M4 put down 410whp which is 10-20 lower than others on that forum board)
with Sport tuner: 333/396
sport cat DP only: 339/388
sport cat DP and tuner: 338/426
The DP is awesome! It creates amazing low/midrange punch. In addition, my entire exhaust setup is louder throughout the RPM range. I recommend it to anyone. I'm looking forward to a proper DINANtronics piggyback to raise the boost and other parameters."
Is the downpipe causing car to throw any code warnings?
The Sport Cat Downpipe featured above has had no CEL issues for any of my clients. The HJS cat cores are guaranteed for 2 years outside of track use and leaded/race fuel

You got it! We do a catbypass too, but CEL on that one without a tune. Honestly I think the Sport Cat sounds better that the Catbypass anyway, and the performance difference between the two is near negligible.
Our lead time is 3-4 weeks right now, you can pick one up as an arrival gift to yourself haha

I'm enjoying mine as a daily driver but will take her to the track as soon as my schedule allows.
