So Seth, what baseline differences did you get between the dash tach./sears unit/ and timing light?
I used a similar Sears diagnostic unit on mine and found that the tach. on the car was the better part of 100 rpm off. (elevated).
It didn't occur to me that the Sears unit wouldn't be calibrated either...
Was there a difference between the new timing light and the old analyzer?
Let me know!
Regards.

Hello Crumpler!
Unfortunately, I have no comparison for you. Yet.
I have played with the new Innova light on my DD Explorer.
My Craftsman diagnostic tester is wrapped up in storage at my storage bay.
More imprortantly, I can't run the Red Witch for more than a couple of minutes. The exhaust is off. So, no exhaust pipes and no O2 sensor. I am finishing up the rear brake lines and such before I reinstall the exhaust.
Once that happens, I can run her all I want.
I will do some comparative testing then.
Thanks!

Aha! I had forgotten about this one.
This is one of my Craftsman Professional scopemeters. This one, the 82089, has an RPM function. And it works!
It is just about dead nuts on with my new Innova timing light for reading RPM. I am definitely going to try this on the Red Witch.
