Nice work! Where are you sending those off to? Some place locally?

Thanks!

Burbank Plating. They are one the few remaining places that can do cadmium plating. I almost went for yellow zinc plating instead but opted for the more durable and original plating. Cost over 70 dollars just to ship all this but hopefully worth it.

There is a whole lot of hardware to these early cars. There is well over 100 clamps alone on the 16v engine and in engine compartment. Crazy!

Just read the entire thread, very interesting! My gas tank strap wasn't that bad, I blasted mine and put it in epoxy, after making a little repair to it. My gastank had some serious bad stuff in it, drained and flushed and removed the tank. Question for you, what is the 'Greg Brown Gaslines'? Again, great thread.

Well, all back from Burbank Plating. Super pleased. They had this stuff done in under a week. Everything looks great. Now the fun part.....where does any of this go!

No joke. I started sorting the 80lbs of hardware last night. I blink and see m8 bolts. Got any cheat sheets, Rob

Heads came back last week. Had new seals and guides done. The machine shop surfaced them as well. They are ready to go!

More goodies as well, ROGER sent me my replacement steering rack.

I must say, I am impressed with the detailing on the rack! Shame to cover most of this up!

Lots of work to do, things should start coming together nicely over the next couple of weeks. I am going to split my time between detailing the engine bay and assembling the engine.

Big thanks for ROB for the guidance on hardware! This project would not be possible without the guidance, advice and direction of so many on this forum!

Engine getting heavy on that 2 ton HF stand

Some bracing for extra stability. Its actually doubled up 2 x 4s. No, won't hold the engine on its own, just there to limit a little movement.

Engine is done for now. Will dress remainder of accessories once installed. I still need to detail the engine slightly and do some tweaking to the small fuel lines and install the distributer. Its starting to get exciting!

This is a M15 engine from an 81 but dressed in CIS from the 79. For those interested , the cam plug retainer plates from 78 and 79 will fit nicely on the later style cam towers with screw in plugs.
