Drove to work today. About 14 miles with about 10 at highway speeds. Drove near perfect. Just slightly light on power. Slightly. Very pleased overall!

Thanks, Doug! It certainly has plenty of patina lots of heads turning and even some pictures being taken. Funny stuff
Thanks Hoi. It was the perfect day here in Bucks County. Made the ride home up I 95 at speeds around 75 with no issue. Can believe how nice it rides. No squeaks or rattles !
Thanks, Tony! Now that's ambitious! Not sure I will make it for 2017 but I am definitely looking to doing an event or two in 2018.

Well, it looks like I am surrendering my title of the world's worse 928 dash board. Got the windshield out for some re sealing and coincidentally picked up this gem.
Sure beats the current dash.....
Now I have two problems.....keeping my new dash crack free and obtaining a crack free pod. I didn't want to go the vinyl or leather covered route. Wanted the original vinyl look.

So I did some finishing touches on the interior today. I use the term finishing loosely as there is so much left to do! I fitted the factory first aid kit, never thought it would fit and it was tight but here it is stowed in on the passenger side footwell
Here is the new dash and pod installed. Still using the old, covered steering wheel as I finish restitching the original wheel
The only non functioning item on my hit list is the blower motor, need to work on that a bit.......slowly but surely getting there!

thanks! I am probably going to take another break soon. I am not running out of things to do but have other house jobs creeping down my back.
lighting is bad but my original wheel, with new stitching is installed and my reproduction air tubes are also in place.
Original steering wheel installed
Original 79 Pa inspection sticker
Correct air tubes installed
Washer system inner wheel liners are up next

Car is beautiful, and you deserve all kinds of compliments for it. I hope my '78 petrol blue will be 1/10 as nice when I am done destroying it!
Thank you for the inspiration-Hoi

The stitching is definitely a DIY. I did a few steering wheels over the years. I did new leather on my old 993 which came out pretty nice. In this case, the leather was original but the stitching was rotted away. I simply do an over/under stitch using the original holes. I will try to get some close ups. I run in one direction and then double back in the opposite direction. It's actually a lot of fun!
