I should have known better than to look at RL while bored in a meeting. Almost spewed coffee out my nose. Everyone looked at me and I played it off like the coffee went down the wrong pipe. I think most of them bought it. Awesome work!
Do you like the bat in your hand? bwahahahaha
I'm trying hard Slakker to make you a "don't mess with me badass." ha!
Wonder what ever happened with KK and his Porsche? He hasn't chimed in for quite a while.
Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been around in a while. Just been busy with work and what not. The 996 has been a champ ever since getting everything fixed.
Finally was able to make it to a PCA event and man that was a blast. We drove the **** out of the cars on some fun curvy roads.
As for the legal stuff, we've decided it would be too difficult to go after the dealer and that going after Dennis would be the better option. The next step is sending a letter if demand.
At this point in time, I couldn't be happier with the car. Unless it was a turbo or something haha.
It's good to hear from you KK and glad you're finally enjoying your 996. We understand the concerns for keeping things hush-hush in legal situations, but if you could keep us updated on the progress, that would be great. Did you ever spend the money have the original transmission reassembled?

Hey KK, how did the "dennis demand" letter turn out? Did he ignore it or respond appropriately? Let us know. Glad to hear you're enjoying the car!
Alright everyone, time for the anticlimactic ending to Dennisgate. He lawyered up. My lawyer explained to me all about the process of taking him to courts and explained all the potential issues. If I took him to court I'd need the mechanic who ended up fixing the car to testify, and even if I won, I'd then have to go about collecting damages. Which is not remotely as simple as one would think. Then theres the possibility I could lose and owe him money. I work all the time and just don't have the time or energy to go after him in court. The whole situation was just a big ****fest but at least its over and I can chalk it up to another lesson learned.
Oh man! I remember reading through all 35 pages of this thread. All quiet for a month then see it's on the front page again. I thought KK had blown up another tranny! Nooooooooo!
