His name is Tom. I called about the car a few weeks ago. I decided since I already have a Porsche, I purchased a Toyota FJ40 Landcruiser so I will not pursue a 928 again now.
He emailed me today saying he wanted to move it before winter...
"Doug,
Make me an offer on the car. It is almost November. I need the garage space.
Thanks!
Tom Edwards"

This is the above silver '78 mentioned above. Early production '78, but why is there a '79 style middle vent? Not sure about those fabric pattern. Is it original? Maybe $7-7,500? http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/5849670500.html

Hey, that's at Oaks Detailing in West Chester, right? Did you see my petrol blue '79 up there on the lift behind your car? He also worked on my Weissach.

Beautiful car and GLWS!
Hey! It is, and yes! I was totally distracted by your car...and he mentioned your Weissach...
Thank you! I am going to miss her...but damn if it wasn't the first thing I did when I opened the door was to check the friggin mileage...simply for my own sanity cannot own a car like that.
This ad's been in the last few Pano's: 1978 928 $ 7,999 Blue/Pasha Blue. 36,000 Miles. Automatic, no sun roof. This is a project car, gas tank is out of car. I have a new "used" gas tank, new secondary muffler plus lots of new parts. Must sell for medical reasons. Mike, Chester Springs, Pennsylvania jetjock44@aol.com I e-mailed Mike requesting maint history and some pics. His response: "Tony, their is no maintenance history for the car. It has 36K original miles" That said, this could be a great project for someone. Hoi do you have a early Minerva 28...yet T
Visited the guy twice. It requires much more work than can be appreciated on the pics and the whole interior is soggy and filled with mildew, due to his leaving the windows open when he disconnected the battery. I am amazed that the interior is still intact, because he keeps it under tarp in the corner of his driveway, where it is bracketed by trees and not much sun.
Very nice man and I gave him what I felt was a fair offer, but he declined, twice. Many parts, but it will require ~100 hrs of work, at least. More than my current '78 5 spd, which is saying something.
Let me know if anyone has anymore questions.

BTW, I am waiting for Alex to pick up my Minerva from his local car dealer

This one was for sale earlier this year. I inquired about it at that time. I think the ask was $49K then. The owner has only had it for about a year and a half. When I asked who the "high-end shop" was that serviced it the previous 6 years, he didn't know and said the the PO did most of the maintence himself. Still though I think its a great looking example and a plus that it comes with the stock wheels. My guess is that you could get this at sub $40K. Depending on a PPI result, that could be a lot of car for the $$$. Had I not won the estate auction on my "84, this was my next target car.
That is a very nice looking 93 GTS. From th epics on south end of the car it has Arizona plates on it. Could be the tech that serviced it was Dan Warner of Exotic Motorwerks in Phoenix. If so, that car has indeed been attended to by an expert on these cars.
