Those that think the GT3.2 is pretty much an R with a wing are wrong IMO. Porsche will not allow that. Those that think you can spec the GT3.2 wingless from the factory are smoking something really strong...again IMO...
While your 1:18 scale model of the Porsche 911R is number 752/911, I just got mine from my stand up sales guy today. Mine is 700/911. My sales guy also got me the same model for my 991 GT3RS, same color as my car Lava Orange.
The 911R model only comes in white with red striping. This is what I have to be content at, for now.
Drive safe,

Ironic that there are fewer of the official 1:18 models than there are of the real deal.
Assume you are still working on the Lava Orange Lego 991 RS...
Actually I did finish it awhile back. Here's a couple of finished pics. I did enjoy putting together that LEGO technic model. It was a cool thing to do.
The R us a great car. I sat in a white one last week at our local dealer. A bit underwhelming when you've just stepped out of a 991 GT3 with Dundon headers but in isolation it looks great.
My biggest issue with the car is it has the same flawed valve train as the GT3/RS albeit with the latest improvement being DLC cams same as are now being retrofitted to 991 GT3. I'm not sure PAG have a proper solution to that problem yet...
I hear whispers the 991.2 GT3 has a re designed valve train based on that used in the current 9A1 race engine. No idea if it's true but piqued my interest enough to put my name in an allocation this week. If it's just another minor evolution of the G engine we have I'm not interested but if they indeed have mate designed the heads for track reliability then I'm all ears. Otherwise the GT3/RS/R are all subject to the same design failure over time, particularly if used on the track extensively (though I doubt many are).
Returned the R to Local OPC last week to have a bit of camber put on for Silverstone next week. Not driven the 991 RS for a couple of months. After driving back to back a little surprised just how much lighter and more punchy through the gears the R feels.
20th track event Coming up for the 991 RS, still going strong.....touch wood..

The Lego RS looks like an RS that has rolled about a dozen times.
LOL. I guess that is how it was designed to depict that the car should be used at the track.

LOL. I agree, but it looks slightly better in person than in pictures though. I suppose the thrill in acquiring this LEGO GT3RS is the challenge and experience of building this model. It has about 2,700 pieces to put together. I spent a couple of hours for one week to complete this set. I did like the intricate detail building this such as having pistons, connecting rods, engine block, dual clutch transmission, etc. I had fun building it.
Anyone doing the alcantera wheel on their R? I'm talking to Porsche Personal Design tomorrow and was thinking about this option. Anyone have any options they want me to ask about?
