A few questions on the aqua blue one as I'm kinda interested:
1) Its a Press Vehicle, should I be concerned?
2) Are there any red flags in the Car fax? Why would charcoal/vapor canister be replaced so early? Front door trim has been repaired 3 times?
3) When does the CPO warranty expire?
4) Any recommendations for someone to do a PPI in the area?
5) Car is in norcal. What is best way to deliver to socal?
6) What typically is a good offer off the asking price? 2% 5%??
Factory warranty ended February 2016. CPO ends February 2018.
Aqua with two-tone grey would be a pretty combo.
In my opinion unless this car is your perfect dream build or you are very sensitive on price I would keep looking. It would be wise to assume it was flogged hard while it was a press vehicle. Imagine the number of 0-60 and 1/4 mile launches this car may have endured.
Carfax looks normal to me for a used car. Things can fail or fall off.
In this case, looks like the "press vehicle" may have been on display only. Look at mileage/sales history. One owner and delivery mileage. I'd ask dealer, but doesn't look like press driven.
Sold, serviced, and now for sale a second time ALL at same dealer. One owner. Doesn't get better than that. You should be able to get all the info you need from them!!
If anyone needs me to lay eyes on a Michael Stead car let me know. Happy to take a look and have a pretty good eye for used Carreras having navigated this process more than a few times!

I agree if the car checks out and you are comfortable with the history it's worth considering. Keep us posted!

I live in the area of the dealer and can get the "scoop" on it should anyone be interested. Stead Porsche is located where Walnut Creek Honda used to be located in the 70's and 80's right off Highway 680.... where I worked as a kid prepping out new motorcycles and Honda Accords in my teenage years for $2.50 an hour, while the owner charged several hundred dollars for "Dealer Prep" on a $4,200 car that had a waiting list a mile long.
Agreed. Only blue I like better is Voodoo (I am a sucker for blue sports cars). With that said, Guards red really grew on me, I would seriously considering ordering it!
Seriously! It's like one was Clark Kent and the other one Superman! Loved the first one, but wow, this one sure is a lot different!
Love the Aerokit Cup!
I agree, it just transforms the car. The 911 can look a bit understated, and I was never a huge fan of the Aerokit on the 997 with that huge wing. This one is just right however. It somehow looks the business in a way that a base 991 doesn't. Especially when mated to S-PASM and wheels spacers
^^^ I've heard his name dropped a lot on the forums, etc. Funny I got him when calling. Was nice enough to send me pics for HFS! Great price point CPO C2S!! Over 2,000 Porsche's sold??
Speaking of Aqua Blue Metallic cars, I know of a C2 on the west coast (not this car), that has 2-tone black and tan interior, and looks like a solid well kept car from photos. Under $60k, can dig up info for somebody if you are interested.
