Ed,

Before your box completely goes away, now would be a good time to disassemble it, lay it out flat and trace pattern on newer cardboard. I'd use a razorblade knife to cut pattern out, not scissors (scissor pinch when they cut and you'll get a sorry looking edge). Then make a few templates out of paper that could be sent to fellow air pump owners.

Charging them hundreds of thousands of dollars of course...(but free to anyone that was partnered in the whole idea).

Brian.

That's a great idea Brian. Added to the list of things to do nearer term. Pump is put away with things like light bulb kit, metal gas cap, cardboard intake tubes, gloves, net, pasha seats, etc. I'll get it out at some point and do that.

Where might be that stash? Just wondering...no reason to worry...

Thanks for the inflator decal pics Ed, much appreciated!

Coupla more details knocked out yesterday, got the refinished front belly pan on:

Apparently the spare tire wasn't clean enough:

And spent some time last night tweaking repro decals before committing to metal:

Where's the 'car of year' sticker? Or is the placing of that sticker the final, 'complete' coronation event?

Where's the 'car of year' sticker?
Still in the envelope with all the other stickers. I need to find some good reference pics of its placement to get a sense of exactly where/how it sits.

Semi-related question- Is there a clear "UNLEADED FUEL ONLY" sticker on the right rear quarter window in '78? It's listed in PET but I'm not sure.

Blumaxx has a telltale 'ring' where the sticker once resided - may want to ask Ed to measure the spot...

Here are a couple of pics of that sticker from Jim's '78 that is currently up for auction on BaT.

Re the COTY sticker: approx 3/4" off each near edge of the glass. Right side.
I've seen a few different original stickers and they're all varied some. The words on the sticker are not horizonal, and are rotated somewhere btw 7pm-8pm.
Keep in mind these were dealer installed so close should he good. I hope this helps.

Find the thread on Kermit, has a really good closeup picture of the car of the year sticker.
