Guys - just noticed the green wire location. Here is a picture from mu refresh last year showing the factory location and tie downs for the green wire.

Living here in mountain-bike heaven, I saw an advert locally for a fill-and-bleed kit for bicycle disk brakes. Not having a mountain bike, I immediately thought that this might be the setup needed for the hydro headlights.
Guessing that Mark A probably has one or knows a local source.

Hi Ed, your green wire routing looks correct. However, the two black tie straps nearer the center are unusual for that location. Usually there are 4 'ball type' twist-clips, generally in similar locations as your's depict (combining the 2 twist-clips and 2 tie straps).

I say unusual meaning I've never seen it that way before. But that doesn't mean Porsche couldn't have done it that way on that day in May 1978.

Default Update

The last few days have been system checks and final assembly.

Included in that:
A/C system function (work in progress)
Wiper (windscreen and rear hatch) alignment/function
Binnacle control/lighting function
Interior lighting check

Horn, check! (it is often the little things that are most rewarding, lol!)

#225 has the two white twist ties on the left (one two inches before the green wire plug and one two inches after), through the rubber grommet, then another white twist tie exactly where Ed's last black tie is located below distributor.

Original green wire and see no evidence of any other ties. However, this could be just the way Porsche fellows were doing it in January 78.

Did a quick search and google says the plastic zip tie was invented in 1958. Which were mainly white. Just off the top of my head, being in the mechanical business for the last seventy-eight years...it seems like I didn't start seeing the black zip ties until the eighties. And, not seeing any black, or white, on old red (quick looksee)...but, old blacky (84) has several white ones.

Horn sounds great. You can win a war one battle at a time.

Well, Minerva's not done, (they're never done...) but she's back in one piece. Ready for smogging, registration, and some more shakedown.

Ok, not one piece- Sills not back in yet:

Well, if you can stand driving her in such condition...I guess I'll have to be okay with it, too...lol.

But, seriously...she looks great. You and William did an outstanding job.

Beautiful! It belongs in a museum. Or in my driveway.

Great work

Looks really good. Well done.
Amazing how long the original shifter was when the 928 first came out.
