Hello from Costa Rica. Can anybody tell me what is this race car?
Hello from Costa Rica,
a few weeks ago I purchased two Porsches from a friend.
I was interested in his 928 S4 (almost original with very few kms on it) but he wanted to sell his 928 only in a combo with this race car (pictures attached).
Finally, I purchased both from him.
I am not very interested in race cars but before I sell it, I like to know what I purchased...?
The information I got from the previous Costa Rican owner:
- He purchased the car approx. 2006 from a race car driver called Miguel Alvarado (Costa Rica, passed away)
- Alvarado purchased the car - with slightly different setup and colors - from a Dominican Republic race team (owner(s) called Mendez and Fonseca (or Fonfort)
- Car was surely driven in USA, Panama, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic
Base motor from 1982 SC
Sticker from "aic autogear, FL" (the reason for post it in Region Florida)
Who knows about this car (maybe with different colors and/or setup)? Or can anybody tell me what I purchased? I don't have the least inkling.
Thank you very much for your time and help,
Andi
PS: I posted the same question in the german pff (porsche fan forum), some guys over there told me better to post it here.
Last but not least: English is not my native language...

Buena suerte.

Hi Andi, thats awesome that you were able to pick up to old school porsches from your friend. I have no idea what model that is but maybe an SC with a modified front bumper to look like a slant nose?
I reside in Costa Rica. Would love to one day own a 911, preferably air-cooled, I see you have a beautful red SC in the back on those pictures.
I currently have a Cayenne as the roads are so harsh out here so I daily use it. But one day, one day, I hope to have an air-cooled 911 to wake up to.
Enjoy paradise in my country and Pura Vida.
