Default Palmetto Bluff - anyone live there?

On a visit to Charleston, South Carolina I took a detour to visit a development called Palmetto Bluff near the border with Georgia.

I came away quite impressed. I’m wondering whether anyone on here lives in Palmetto Bluff, and would be willing to share their experience with me.

thank you

Been there several times and have some friends that live on the water in Beaufort. They really considered moving to Palmetto Bluff…super quiet and beautiful until the summer season. Traffic is horrible…

@PatrickBB thank you for the reply. I agree that it’s beautiful and peaceful. When you say that traffic is horrible, is that traffic specifically to Palmetto Bluff from Savannah or out to Hilton head Island?

I ask because there really aren’t any grocery stores in the development and it seems like you have to drive out to Bluffton on Highway 17 I believe to get to grocery stores. That might become a drag for daily living.

My understanding is that during prime golf season, spring break, parts of summer and bit into the fall traffic is bad from Hilton Head through Bluffton and Palmetto Bluff. At least, that’s what they told us… Our friends are selling a pretty cool home on the water on Lady’s Island and building another down the road. They are on a couple acres which makes it feel really quiet and secluded but only 10 mins to Publix and restaurants. That area is really beautiful.
