New F1 qualifying rules
I was actually up last night at 2:00 am and watched qualifying for the Australian GP. Not entirely impressed with the new rules.
My wife and I had the following comments... feel free to add to the list.
1) Kinda like watching paint dry
2) Four and a half minutes of open talk time for the commentators
3) An opportunity to view the cars parked in their garages
4) A bit like watching football
5) Get to see the drivers without helmets

I stayed up to man it sucked!! I loved the comment from Martin Brundle when he said two years from now someone will say "remember that stupid scheme they came up with for qually at the start of the '16 season"!!!

I have been watching F1 religiously for 16 years. Last night for qualy, i think i saw 10 minutes before i decided to turn off my live steam. Every year Bernie + FIA find away to muck thinks up more.
I haven't watched today's race, shows how excited i'm for the F1 season. First time in 16 + years i have no "drive" to watch the race the day of. Such sad state of affairs.

That WAS one of the more interesting races in a long time. Ask Alonso.

I thought this race was a good one and of course Kimi was plagued by the Ferrari reliability woes.
Ferrari did a good job trying to get the softs to run competitively until the end as I figured they thought the Mercs on mediums would give up towards the end.

Ferrari's biggest issue is Ferrari itself. They should have never put VET on super softs after the redflag (Even I was like WTF). Also doesn't help they lost about 2-3 secs in pitlane when they had to come back in.. I wouldn't say they had the win in hand but they gave up a solid P2. They are close to Mercedes but just not 100% there yet, maybe 97% there

Would agree with that Ronan, new U.S. Team scores points, Ferrari up there again like last year....Fernando escaping from a potential tragic accident, 3 new tire sets and NO rain!...can't ask for more other than if Hamilton won...:-)
