Dr. color chip
Saw an ad for Dr color chip in excellence magazine. I was on the website and it looks like a good product and easy to use. Only $59 for the largest kit. Just wondering if anyone has used the product and their thoughts. I've always hated using touch up pens and getting a blob of paint instead of a smooth finish. It looks like this product has taken care of that issue.

I've used it on a few cars and the match is 100% on all of them. Much more forgiving than than factory touch up paint since it's made for you to work with. I visited their shop in FL last year, they are a great bunch of people and will accommodate any requests.

I am going to contact them this week with a few questions about the kits. If you buy 2 or more kits you get 10% of your purchase. I will probably try it out so does anyone else want a kit as well?

Do they sell combo kit with two different color paint but only one bottle of the levelling liquid potion at a discount?
I'm also curious if the repaired spots will shrink down a tiny bit in the longer term? Although it will still look much better than the paint blobs from regular touch-up paint.......

This is from the website's FAQ section:
Does the paint provide a permanent repair?
Yes, as far as we've tested. Eight years is the longest repair we've monitored (a chip repair), and it looks the same as it did the day it was applied. Most touch-up paints shrink up over time after they've dried and cured. Our paint does not shrink. It should remain the same as it appears after application for years to come.

Almost makes me wonder if I could have avoided repainting my hood and fenders earlier this year, the bumper had to be repaired because of the gauges and deep scratches and Dr. Color Chip won't be able to hide them. However I am also sure Dr. Color Chip won't make the hood and fenders look as good as they are now.
Mike, if you are going to ask them questions, can you ask them how safe it is to apply Clear Bra film on the area repaired with Dr. Color Chip, specifically will the repaired spots come off with the film if the film had to be removed later on.
