Max has arrived!!
I pulled all the wrapping, plastic and cardboard off by hand, its not there for any serious protection. The smaller components like the power pack for example was very well packed in its own heavy cardboard box with compression foam at either end, etc., and the small parts, wheels, bolts and so on were all in another separate box, again well packed. These two boxes, along with the lifting arms were all held in place against the columns with steel straps.
The columns are made one, for shipping, with the use of purpose built steel welded squares at either end and all bolted together with 3/4" bolts to make one solid unit.
All in all it was very well packed, with only one small scratch. The columns are heavily powder coated as are the yellow lifting arms. Nice product and seems well built, and engineered.
More pictures to come soon...I would be happy to host a DIY day, but it would probably have to be in August. Work and weddings take up most of June and July...

It was either an 25k+ garage enhancement or a lift. It was easy to sell the idea to the SO

In my case bought directly from babco.ca. Was cheaper as for me (QC) no provincial taxe when buying out of the province and shipping wasn't outragious. Shipper had the tailgate to put it down in the driveway. IIRC price was lower that costco too.
993 was up there all winter!

Apparently since Dannmar bought Max Jax from BendPack they can't make them fast enough!
