I think that it was the 8 supercars ganging up on the Prius.

It was a swarming. Prius fought back with some fancy ninja moves!

Accoridng to the morning TV news (Global) the lead Ferrari pulled out to pass the Prius, lost control and slid into the central median guardrail and then spun back onto the highway and the rest is history.
