My son was coming in from Montreal last night and saw two Lambos pulled over on the 401...two two trucks, tow cruisers, and two unmarked SUVs....
(I know, they were just broken down)

Hearing these stories makes me ill. This stupid law is not the answer or people would not be getting caught anymore. Can everyone say "motivated only by money". We need to get sombody new in power that can review the highway traffic act with eyes wide open. I hate hearing about good tax paying citizens getting screwed this way. Not all speeders are evil criminals.

This law is the reason I've taken my car off the road this year and trying to sell it. It's just a matter of time before each one of us gets caught imo. I speed a lot when conditions are right and I go by "there's a place and time for it" but eventually there will be a cop in the middle of nowhere when I do it and had he not been there there would have been no harm, no foul.
I would rather speed on my bike knowing a have a very good chance of getting away but even there I will be hesitant. I'll be damned if I will stop... they will have to come to my house with a search warrrant before I give up my P-car.... hense that's why I'm not driving it. Those glory days of having some fun are over I'm afraid....

In my younger days, used to be guilty as hell of exceeding speed limits late at night on the DVP (loved those banked turns) and 1/4 mile drags in industrial Mississauga, Woodbridge, Scarborough, etc. However, there is simply no time when there is no traffic anymore on any highway so I've been behaving other than the odd brief spin up to 150 since picking up the current hotrod.
Guess we need a few more tracks to open up for public usage. I know I'd be happy to pay $100 or so for a day or a yearly membership for speeding my brains out without fear of losing my license and ride Be cheaper than a round of golf or club membership and not nearly as geriatric... hehehe

$100/ day for track time? I'd never leave! LOL
I use to tap 200 most days if the oportuniy presented itself.
Now I have an anxiety attack when I get close to 50 over.
I even pass like a granny because I'm so worried.
Say what you will. The law is serving it's intended purpose. Like it or not.
