I just received my 944SMAX chip from Russell today!!

Projects for 2008 - that will go in, along with 2.5 exhaust cat back with performance muffler, another transaxle to be installed as soon as I get it here, along with a new short shift kit, and 924 shifter bushings for a quieter shifter (a 944 mod that ends TT/transaxle vibration noise travelling up through shift rod), new shift **** and leather boot...

Oh, and a clay bar treatment for paint...shampoo, ummm...

Have to finish replacing the driver side head gasket, replace some of the aging rubber lines and connection, design a crank ventilation system to get away form the current catch can setup, then maybe build and alcohol/water injection system.

Hmm, what to do...

- Oil change and general tune-up
- Front ball joints
- Replace passenger side interior door handle
- Figure out why my climate control cover plate pops off every time I slide the bottom lever from left to right
- Replace my spedometer with one that shows km/h
- Deep clay cleaning and waxing
- get my fog lights working
- Might get my rims refinished with a polished lip (but not a priority)

I noticed a couple of you are talking about getting rims refinished. Is there a place in or near Toronto that does this? If so, any idea how much they'd charge?

I'm aiming to get my 944 painted, and getting the wheels done at the same time would be grand.

carcone's does refinishing.

if a couple of us can get toghether (at least 4 rims in total) i can have the mobile wheel refinishing truck that comes 2 our dealership do our wheels, that way there's zero downtime.

Can't remember who I went though. Will have to look it up, but that could take awhile

I have a stock 80 SC. Actully I removed the rest of the valve covers today and I only had one broken stud. I found the broken stud by accident. If I wasn't removing the engine sheet metal to detail it I never would of known the stud was broken.
I do some track time so I may repair it.

I'd be totally down with that, all four rims need doing.
