Are there differences in the base configuration of the cars? There's still a $32,100 (I don't even have to specify USD or CAN) difference in the Turbo. Over a 20% savings still by buying in the US! If the USD is going under par, do you think PCNA will drop Canadian pricing lower for 2009?

There are some free options. For the turbo, I think it's sport chrono and heated seats from what I recall. That still doesn't account for the large price difference.

The GT2 is $25K cheaper in the US.

The turbo up here gets sport chrono, heated seats and sport seats in the base price......IIRC.

If the CDN dollar remains strong compared to the US for another year - expect another price correction for MY '09. Just a guess....

Just that they have started to correct for US prices. New 2008s are 8-12k less.

Journalist said that while the prices have dropped, they are still much cheaper in the US

if these were the prices last year when the dollar was at 0.90. there wouldn't be a large incentive to go to the US (factoring taxes, duty, etc.). however now that it's at parity the new prices are no better than the price differences last year.
