I haven't really prepped mine yet but there were snow flurries today so the season is pretty much done. Probably one last run to top up the tank and fill the tires....SO DEPRESSING.....
Drove the toy 3 days to work this week. 165 km round trip each day.
Snowing big time on the way home. No accumulation though.
Insurance is canceled for the 15th.
It does slide much easier in the cold.
What a blast eh Rod ? I got sideways a few times last couple of morings .. but that's it .she's done ..
PS for anyone interested in oil for winter storage .. Penzoil on sale for 9.99 for 10w30 at partsource for the weekend, limit 2 so take a family member ..
Just counting the days until the salt comes, but until then... 300km to London and back last night, yep, heat still works! It was -2, I think. Quirky heat, but I was comfortable. Stopping by Sherway tomorrow morning on my way into TO, so I get at least another hour or so with her. Man, it reminds me of when my wife and I were living in different cities before we got married, and appreciated every minute we had with each other!
A lot of people do an oil change as part of the pre-hibernation, then change it again in the spring. Personally I think that's a bit of overkill, but then again since I've had the car I've always done winter projects that involved draining the oil for one reason or another, so I guess I still do it.
I changed the oil last week because it was due, and I intended on putting at least another 1000 kms on her before she goes to sleep.
I'm parking my new Cayman S in a cold garage, but I'm hoping to take it out on days when there is no salt on the roads (when it has been cleaned with rain). No salt yet up in Uxbridge, although there is salt north of my town, so I shall only aim her on southerly voyages.
The extended forecast looks good so there could be some nice driving days ahead!

Final ride and wash yesterday.
I took #6 from Washago to Gravenhurst and then Sands road to Bracebridge.
What a blast! I put her away with both of us smiling.
